We will be there in September for a wedding in Banff. We would like to fly in to Vancouver and then drive to that area. Most likely stop a couple of nights along the way. Does anyone have any experience doing this that they would be willing to share? Thanks!

Lived in Calgary for a while. Drove to Banff for the weekends. Beautiful spot. Not sure why you'd fly to Vancouver and drive. Seems like the long way. Plenty to see and do in Calgary too. Enjoy.

Think you might've intended this for the travel board.

Take the train across the Rockies. It's a sleeper, but the views are breathtaking

We flew to Calgary and drove from there. Good roads and an easy drive, but DO NOT speed! They have radar cameras and will mail you a bill! But, had a great trip. The town of Banff is really nice with shops and some good bars and restaurants. Any where you go is beautiful! If possible, drive up to Jasper too. Nice drive and beautiful scenery on the highway. Some nice hikes to waterfalls along the way. Enjoy!
