Headed to ski Japan in early January and would love advice on the best ski resorts. Also, recommendations on restaurants or other things to do while in Japan.

Did you ever end up doing this? I booked for middle of January for two weeks, but have no real itinerary. I just know I want to ski. Filtering through all the options is crazy.
