Im about to hop on a plane and head to Denver for a weekend trip. I am renting a car at the airport on Friday so I can get around Denver on Friday and then up to Fort Collins on Saturday. I would like to traverse Hwy 34 "Trail Ridge Road" from Winter Park to Estes Park. Is this even an option this time of year or will it be closed? If so, are there any alternate scencic routes to fort collins?

Trail Ridge Road is closed for the season. Don't have any extra info for you about other routes.

Try Peak To Peak (119) From Black Hawk to Estes. They just repaved the road over the last year and it is very nice drive.
