My wife and I are planning a Washington state trip for next summer based around her cousin's wedding in Seattle. We'd like to drive down after the wedding and spend the week in Walla Walla at wineries. Anyone ever been there?

better destination: San Juan Island. Look at staying in the area of Friday Harbor. You can take the Victoria Clipper from downtown Seattle or drive up to Anacortes and take the ferry over from there.

Never been to Walla Walla, but was at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Canada two years ago and saw a truck with Aggie license plates in the parking lot and then met the Aggie that was driving it (from Wala Walla). I lost his card. If you are he and see this, PM me!!

Agree that a week is too long.

However, if you've never been to the San Juans, I'd agree about checking out Friday Harbor.

I just left there. When I get back I'll post some suggestions.

Yeah we've thought a week might be too much, but we definitely want to hit up the wine country of Washington.

I would stay in the Tri-Cities (Richland, Pasco, Kennewick), not Walla Walla, if you are going to do the wine tasting. And I would do it for a day or two but that is it.

Unless you want to Tour Hanford or the Kennewick man site. And check out the mascot and logo for the Richland High School.
