I saw $79 a night which is a heck of a deal for the tower. I am staying the 3 nights before at Beau Rivage so I'm not expecting that from Isle but I like the property. Last time I was there they had to evacuate the casino because someone set off the fire alarm.

If there are better rates than that out there just let me know!

I'm pretty darn sure we have some $59 rates out there, and some $77 rates which would get you a little free play to boot. I can check first thing Monday morning. (I'm in Dallas for a buddy's wedding until then.

A buddy and I are heading down there on Friday. Not sure if we are staying the night as the weekend rate is over 150 a night, but we might reconsider staying if someone can swing us a deal

Might be tough, as this Friday we have a concert (Lonestar), and I believe we are already at about 98% occupancy. I'll look into it in the morning and see what I can do, though.

I stayed at Isle of Capri Tuesday night. I was happy. I booked a deal online where I got the room for $59 and $20 in free slot play. I thought that was pretty good. I stayed in the tower on the second floor. Room was big and clean. Great bathroom, even had a TV in it. Bed was comfortable, nice flat screen, minifridge. Nice sitting area. One thing I would have changed is that they need something on the walls, they were a little bare. It didn't bother me but I am easy. My view wasn't very good since I was on the second floor I was behind a sign or something but that didn't really bother me either. Casino wasn't very crowded and and the gamers were a little trashy but that's every casino. I saw plenty of trashy folks the previous few days at Beau Rivage.
For lunch I hit the buffett and that needs some work. The selection was poor and the food was very bland. Overall if you know what you're getting into then it's a good place.

Is Pat's of Henderson still open in LC? if so then that's your best non-casino restaurant choice (cajun food).

Pat's is around. Mazen's is also good. Actually, a few good Mom and Pop cajun places, just need to know where to go.

You pay for Pat's is the only drawback to it, but it is definitely good.
