So since it's our off day I was genuinely curious about where things are big picture for the Rangers and what the future may look like for them.

Chris Young got an extension and a promotion to President of Baseball Ops in 2024 so I think he's safe for the foreseeable future, but if I were a Ranger fan I wouldn't be completely confident he's the guy to get things right.

They have some boat anchor contracts that are gonna make it difficult. It'll be an interesting situation to keep an eye and ear on.

Orioles radio reporting a large storm possibly on the way for the late innings of the game. Would love a nice 4 hour rain delay to couple with an Os win so both teams get into their next destination really late tonight.

Would love for the Os to not pitch as well against us as they did against the Ms ... lol

Some notes:
Drafted in 2023 from Towson, was rooting for the Phils in 2022 WS, quick turnaround on joining the Astros org but excited about their player dev especially on the pitching side.

Had his COVID year at La Salle and they cut their program while he was rehabbing leading to his transfer to Towson. Threw only about 70 innings at the college level.

Mostly ran with 2 pitches in college, now up to about 6, changed from primarily 2 seamer to 4 seamer with a sweeper, and a cutter that he advocated for himself. Astros minor league pitcher of the year last year.

Fave player growing up: Roy Halladay, currently: Zack Wheeler, Jake deGrom

Watching Bochy in his postgame press conference after Maton blew the lead in the ninth inning yesterday made me think he might just call it a day and retire after this season. He looked tired and the way they lost their last two home games would drive anybody nuts.

Bochy is the best manager that org has ever had so I'm all for them firing him.
