Right above the Tucker section, it says Alex probably is the next free agent to sign.
I guess the preference would be for a Tucker trade first. The Astros would then know where they stand in terms of payroll and roster. The decision on Bregman might be clearer, provided it does not involve $200+ million. Could be irrelevant either way.

The Chicago Cubs were reluctant to trade both Seiya Suzuki and Isaac Paredes with the additional prospects for Kyle Tucker earlier in the day. Talks have been ongoing throughout the day with the Cubs pushing hard to try and make a deal happen before the end of the meetings.

Would LOVE the deal, but I think that's way too much for the Cubs to give up for essentially a 1 year rental (unless some extension is involved).
