Rumors are that Perez may be heading to the IL for a brief stint and won't pitch again till after the ASB. His velo was down in his last start and obviously effected his command. Bradford would start in his place in Washington which honestly, at this point, I prefer.
He's already done TJ once too so they definitely need to be careful there.
Since his return from the IL, Evan Carter has moved up to No. 7 on the top 100 prospects list, and he has 20 hits, 12 RBIs in 11 games. Kid is real, boys.

Was at the game. He was so bad. Not any "good" movement for Perez and with his velo down he was throwing BP. They were knocking the crap out of the ball, obviously.
Good thing we won today. The Rockies got shut down by a terrible pitcher thrown by the Astros. Most other teams have bashed Bielak around, but Colorado could barely muster a run.

Saw Leclerc pitch a little over an inning at Frisco tonight. Looked okay vs the first 2-3 hitters. Then gets behind 3-1 to one and gives up a dinger
I think his time in Arlington is, for the most part, done. I would not be surprised or opposed to see him thrown in on a trade or something along those lines.
So thankful Rangers did not go all in on Perez last winter.

I was curious, I just opened the Houston thread from a spot I had looked at it yesterday and saw a post that I don't think fits the rules. It made me post my question about the Angels. Would be nice to know why this post is okay but one in a similar ilk would not pass over here. Genuinely curious.

The Angels are in a TOUGH spot. It'll be a solid four weeks at least until Trout is back, and Ohtani's usage is through the roof right now. I'm not sure they shouldn't look to trade both players and completely restart. Trout's value seems like it's taking a nose dive, so why not get out if you can?
I'm guessing they are in a wait-and-see mode until the deadline. If Boston/Seattle/Cleveland pass them up in the wildcard standings then they'll go into sell-mode.
As a franchise they are right where we want them to be -- not good enough to win but not bad enough to sell.

I would think discussing other teams as it pertains to the Rangers, or other general update information ha been historically fine.
Ohtani and Trout (and I've seen Rendon left, as well) getting injured impacts the Rangers from a Divisional perspective, but also from a trade perspective. Ohtani is likely one of the biggest names potentially on the market. The Rangers probably won't get him, but where he ends up is relevant.
I've posted some updates on other player, like SP which I think is relevant. If the staff or others on here object to that, then it is what it is.
My biggest concern is Astros fans coming on the thread and flagging content as a way to stir the pot.
We sure have three soft series in a row - Boston, Washington and Cleveland. Need to make some hay.
