As expected, MLB is expected to announce a delay to the start of Spring Training as early as Thursday. Financial pressure of that starts as soon as games with fans are lost.

By saying this, Manfred is trying to make the owners the victims.

At this point a delay in the regular season seems inevitable.
I'd put the over/under at 120 games played

Damn...Odor has gained some weight!!
Also, there will be a draft lottery and no draft compensation for free agents, which affected teams signing free agents offered a qualifying offer.

@lmccullers43 good news, it is official... you are the last pitcher in MLB history ever to record an RBI during the World Series.

I guess Ohtani batting for himself remains a possibility. With apologies to @BenVerlander. https://t.co/NGuPaiLZuN

thanks! bothers me too, but just a personal quirk for me, lol. tbh, we've been pretty lucky with the 1 year old, but she has been in a phase the past few weeks where most nights she'll need a diaper and a hug some random time between midnight and 4amhelloimustbegoing said:07ag said:"As expected, MLB is expected" what does that even mean? i expect this guy doesn't actually know anything and is expecting to expect more clicks to his social media, expecting expectations to increaseFarmer1906 said:As expected, MLB is expected to announce a delay to the start of Spring Training as early as Thursday. I feel you buddy, due to my job when I see "journalists" who can't use the language it ticks me off. Congrats on the 1 year old. Eventually they start sleeping, in another 5 or 6 years.
It's kind of funny to think back to this board 10 years ago and how much the idea of a universal DH was loathed here. Most considered themselves traditionalists/purists. That's because we all grew up watching the NL but the DH has been a good change. I'd rather watch Yordan bat than JV any day.tjack16 said:

Deshaies was 33-for-373 in his career for an .088 batting average. All 33 hits were singles. https://t.co/nem0qAKqLb

How often are there real tough decisions to make? Most of the time it's a fairly obvious choice to bunt, PH, or leave the pitcher.Ag_07 said:
Honestly I'm torn on the universal DH.
I don't like the universal DH in a sense that it creates different strategies and styles of play across the two leagues. I like the decisions a manager has to make without the DH.
I like the universal DH because it levels the playing field in the WS.
