When you throw BS like that, you jeopardize's Sano's quest to have a lower batting average than his number of strikeouts. Currently on pace for a .185 average and 183 strikeouts.

There's little prospect talent we have that's worth keeping... thus the dismal ranking. It would definitely take a volume trade (quantity for quality) but I think the Astros are too close this year to roll with internal bullpen solutions. What will one guy cost us? Not necessarily a Hand or Hader type, but someone that can have a clean 7th or 8th inning. That shouldn't break the bank, and it being a younger guy will keep the team under the tax threshold.

Is that guy out there and available? I dunno.

Sure would have bee nice if we hadn't traded Hader for Gomez. I think we see who steps up in the bullpen for now. We'll likely be able to shift enough starters to the bullpen in the playoffs to make it work.

ERA is down to 0.57 tonight, and BAA down to .123 thanks to the Padres going 1 for 15 so far tonight.
