Framber is a rock solid ace imo. Astros have a better than even shot to win every time you run him out there no matter who the opposing pitcher is. He has learned how to keep even the best lineups off balance. He pitched a completely different game today than he did the last time he shut the Red Sox down.
Yup. He evolved right in front of our eyes last year. Now he's the dude. He's the top of the rotation guy that stabilizes the staff. And he may not be alone. Lance is showing signs of taking the step from guy with good stuff who's streaky to ace type *****

I effing LOVE Framber Valdez. It's funny...you watch him at games behind home plate and he looks about like a DII college pitcher. Not overwhelming stuff. BUT...every pitch moves a bunch. Once he figured out how to throw strikes with that one movement, he became a new pitcher.
Oh...and now Paredes is in the game and can't throw a strike. Shocker.

I like Framber's leadership there. He met Paredes at the steps of the dugout to congratulate him.
He went full McCullers and just didn't throw a fastball for the rest of the inning once he couldn't locate. Maybe that's a positive development for him
Great fight in Enoli tonight. I think outings like this will go a long way.

Nope. None of our guys have high spin heaters.
We have some high spin curve ballers & slider (Lance) but they've always high spin. No major jump ups in their pro careers or down recently.
