Our starting pitching is on an absolute tear. Game 7 of the WS and you can pick any of our starters (not JV) to start. Who ya got? I struggle with the answer.

Who had Framber with a quality start after that first inning?

Just 2 pages back everyone was talking "bullpen game for both teams" and neither starter going past 3-4 innings.

Now they've both made it through 6

Hard to go against Framber.

I don't even know who that guy is but he just made a hell of a play.

Knee jerk answer is Framber. I think he has the best put away stuff. Grienke is 2nd choice bc he's a stud and a vet that knows how to pitch if his stuff isn't sharp. Flip a coin for Urquidy and Garcia, with slight edge to Urquidy; we've seen him ball out in a world series before. I'll need to see Odorizzi string together a few more good starts.

One game winner take all I want Framber.

Just dropped in to say that the Astros starting pitching has been ridiculously good for the past week or so. Better than I ever imagined they could be. Obviously not true for the bullpen but once all the starters are back up and running it provides the opportunity to slide some starters into relief roles and will shore up that as well like has been done with Javier already. I am liking the trend.

Hitting with risp and some of the fielding gaffes certainly need to be improved but the pitching is showing the potential and promise we were told to expect before the season and we are only 1/3 into the season.

I'd pick Framber because of the ground balls.

That's gotta be a hit.

ESPN crew obviously not paying attention as Ravech calls that an error on Correa

There is a certain starter who has actually started a game 7 WS and we won.

I imagine one of these starters will have a dud outing soon, but its been awhile since Javier has pitched. With the club getting an extra year of control if he goes down just another week or 2, I could see him going to Sugar Land to stay stretched out.

If the game is at home yes, all day... if its on the road, hell no. He's too inconsistent.

and yes I'm aware game 7 was in Dodger stadium.

Machete caught that strike while standing up and fooled Blue

I didn't list him bc he's currently not available. He also has filthy stuff, but I don't think he has yet harnessed the ability to compartmentalize. Probably would pick him as my 3rd choice

Either got crossed up or thought Framber uncorked it to the backstop.

big decision for Dusty for the 8th.

3-batter minimum.

so whomever must face J.D. and Bogaerts

The depth of the starting staff is looking really solid. I'd have to go with Valdez right now but wouldn't feel bad about Grienke , or Urquidy , or a healthy McCullers either.

I still can't get over the Framber of 3 years ago to today. He went from a guy with good stuff and no clue how to pitch to a guy with great stuff and a Cy level pitcher.

102 pitches. 7 innings

I'd say Framber is healthy
