Fair enough, and as it turns out he made the right call.

At the same time there's a difference between trying to be Captain America and going for it on a cleanly fielded ball vs. being opportunistic and running on a ball that was badly bobbled. He would have easily been safe on either mistake.

As opposed to the very heads up baserunning that just happened to allow us to score.

I don't understand why Bregman lets some of these first pitch fastballs in a good location within the zone go so many times.

At least it seems that way.

Yes! He hit one like 500 feet.

The semifinalists were Lance, Miguel Tejada (who won), Bonds and Palmeiro. If Lance could keep up with those guys clean can you imagine what his career would have looked like if he would have juiced?
