We just don't have a winning mentality right now. Altuve not taking an 81mph curve ball in between his 2&7 on the back could be the difference between a winning and losing home stand against the toughest part of the schedule. It's just loser baseball.

You can't seriously have just watched the same half inning I did and feel like everybody on the field gave their best effort

He's the guy you want as a lefty specialist and about the 5th/6th best arm in a bullpen. We're using him in high leverage vs a bunch of righties. His stuff plays well enough and gets a bunch of Ks. He good enough to be a regular in big league bullpen.

How do you ask that has been looking to not get hit for his entire career with a baseball to completely ignore what has got to be instinct at this point and get hit while you sit on your couch?
I wanted him to get hit more than anything, but sometimes you just can't tell your body what to do when instinct kicks in and you aren't looking to do it.
Altuve wears the pitch and we win. Instead, the Raley and Bielak bad news bears squad comes our and buries us. Then Altuve ****s up a playable out with a terrible throw.

I want to know what on earth makes you think Raley has been great the past few outings without using ERA.
Because I agree ERs for BP are useless for reasons you mentioned but also because a pitcher may allow runs but they don't always go to his ERA.
