Having seen the Austin homeless/tent under I-35 people in person last weekend I can assure you they look much much worse.

Straw is taking much better routes tonight. He got behind that ball and lined up to throw to 3B.

Probably from Brantley kicking his ass...in fact that's probably why Mike has leg soreness.

I said it earlier in the thread. His fielding has gotten better in past few weeks. and yes it has been since Brantley gave him the laser eyes and the local press piled on

Yes but it magnifies it imo

And then that throw was awful.

Might've made it anyway but looked like Straw hesitated on the throw or clutched at least once

The way I see it is pretty much any single except a single to left field scores that run at second. If you've had to use your more reliable guys to keep the game close, now in that extra inning your less reliable guys is probably more likely to give up the single.

At least when there isn't a runner starting on second the single doesn't score a run and you still have an opportunity to get the DP or work around the single.

The stronger bullpens don't have to use their best pitcher to keep it tied in the top of the 9th.

He was moving away tho. Very few have much chance to make that throw. The throw did suck

I was gonna say using Pressly in the 9th was dumb, but knowing how the other pen arms have been pitching, maybe not.
