Nah. Dusty isn't juggling a good thing right now. Bregs is getting a night off to not push his hammy too hard yet. Diaz will hit wherever who he is spelling hits.

Diaz can actually hit though and will get much better pitches with Tucker behind him rather than Straw.

I think everyone can understand that. Maybe not agree, but understand.
I cannot understand Diaz 3rd vs a lefty. Slide Correa & Gurriel to the 3 and 5. Put Diaz in the 7. Simple.
Diaz has a sub .700 career OPS vs lefties. Hits for zero power. Makes zero sense.
I'm just not a big Dusty fan as far as managing goes. A fine man, but just not a real good game manager. Straw should have been bunting with 2 on and no outs last night. Diaz hitting third today is another head scratcher. I thought Hinch was as good as I've seen over the years, so maybe nobody was going to eclipse that in my mind. Dusty was great navigating all the BS last year, but he looks ridiculous with a tie dye mask and gloves on. I guarantee you he's been vaccinated.
I'm cool with Bregman or Alvarez getting a day off each week for the first month of the season. No need to push them too much in a 162 game season.
