Which is exactly why we shouldn't have dicked around with the Rangers

The A's have a turner over chain gimmick now

Where was he ever out of the baseline?

Thats in the baseline, and there isnt a attempt to tag being made on him in that snapshot
I don't believe it was Framber going and getting that on his own. I think the initial report was that he was likely done for the year. It's one of the reasons we got Odo. But Framber recovered much quicker than anyone expected. The second opinion took forever.Mathguy64 said:
So IIRC the team basically thought he was done for the year. Framber is the one who took on a second opinion and got the much more favorable outcome.
Am I not remembering this correctly?
Yeah, I'd agree 4 to 5 innings and Javier can pick up the next 2 or 3.bearkatag15 said:
How many innings do we think Framber goes tonight realistically? His final rehab start went as follows:
4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 54 pitches
I'd think getting him through 5 innings and about 70 pitches would feel like a big win.
Finding temporary housing on your own in multiple cities every year, and then having to pay for them all on a less-than-minimum wage salary was one of the biggest challenges I ever faced in baseball. Bravo to the O’s and Astros for taking care of their people! https://t.co/v1UCzGlGtx

What did you do during the wins? I'm thinking you're going to need to make sure you do those same things tonight. I'd like to start this series off with a win.tjack16 said:
Going to my 6th game of the season tonight.
Currently 2-3 and the Astros have scored 2 runs exactly in each of the three losses, and exactly 7 runs in both wins
So magic number for a win since I'm going tonight is 7

Some Astros notes:
— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) May 28, 2021
- LHP Kent Emanuel to the IL with elbow soreness
- Brantley and Alvarez are both out of the lineup still
- Pressly is feeling better, but needs to throw first before determining availability
Dusty Baker when asked if OF Michael Brantley could go on the IL: "We're still evaluating that."

He hasn't played since Sunday. He's had the whole week off.Ag_07 said:
Brantley is concerning. He's had 2 off days and he's still not right.
Odorizzi on rocky Astros start: "I'm sure a lot of people in Houston don't really care for me right now. I sucked before I got hurt and then I got hurt. Not exactly the intro I was looking to make, but thankfully I have the rest of this year and some years to come after that..."

Toro is just coming off the IL himself. I imagine if they needed to call someone up, it'll be Garcia since he can play corner outfield. Diaz can play out there, and I think Stubbs has some history playing out there. Also, Jones has subbed into LF this last weekend.Farmer1906 said:
Put Brantley on the IL retroactively. Let him rest. Call up Toro (he can play OF right).
It's time for Click to open up a roster spot so Siri or Dawson can get a shot. Even if it's just as a 4th OFer. We can afford to have no experience if Brantley is out longer or if something happens down the road.
