I had to run an errand and flipped on 790, Click was on. Only caught some of it.

-Urquidy throwing in Corpus tonight, should be back after that stint. 4 inning 65 pitch limit.
-More info coming this afternoon on Odo and Framber, apparently talking to those two this morning to see if they even need another rehab start or if they can go ahead and come up
-Says you might see some guys sent to AAA to work on their stuff and come back up IF they can fix it
-Said he has been very frustrated with the self inflicted mistakes
-Was excited to have a playoff type atmosphere with 34k+ at MMP last night
-Said that Scrubb is actually the one who approached Dusty after the 8th to let him know he could stay out there for the 9th to stretch himself and not overwork the bullpen. Appreciated his fight and realization of the taxed pen.
- Said Brantley will be in the lineup tonight, and confirmed tired legs due to the turf in Arlington. Mentioned that he had been a part of teams that played a majority of their games on turf and hadn't had that issue so they are "looking into it."

His overall tone was not happy at all, and had a little urgency in his voice. In all the interviews I have heard I don't think he has ever sounded that way.

He didn't say much about the managing, but he did say the last week or so has been "unacceptable"

The way he's hitting now, I think it would be difficult to get much return for him. I wouldn't be shocked (if the front office actually makes a move around the deadline) to see Whitley head out as a part of a trade.

no one is going to want Whitley right now since he just had TJ surgery.

We packaged Corbin Martin as a part of the Grienke deal and he was fresh off TJS.

You're suggesting we trade our starting shortstop without a replacement except for an often injured utility player and also a high-end prospect at its lowest possible value? Any I following you correctly?

You know we're trying to make a run this year, right? What do you think we'll get back?

probably not getting much for Carlos unless he's the final piece of a world series run for a National League team. No one is going to give you much since he's a free agent.

Astros might be better off getting the compensatory pick when they lose him in free agency.

Agreed. And I am not sure we can be bad enough or the other teams in the WC will be good enough to really be out if it. Carlos will be here the rest of the year. I wouldn't be shocked if we worked out a deal based on his play.

It's not a decision I would want to be responsible for. Certainly, there is sentimental value in meeting him. However, I can see the argument for trading him at the deadline if we are not really close to making the playoffs and you're sure he's going to get a big deal elsewhere. It allows you to restock the minors with some prospects (ie the Machado deal a couple years ago), and it possibly offsets some of the damage done by some of the draft restrictions the past few years. Plus you get more than the compensatory pick in the draft. Yeah, it would suck and basically be raising the white flag, but in that scenario, it might be the best long term option for the team. He could always have a change of heart and return in the off season if he didn't produce where he was traded.

Only 10 day. He'll miss 1-2 starts max by the look of things. It lets Garcia stay in the rotation a little longer. He may be a candidate to go down and stay stretched out.
