Just got caught up some highlights. Good game, yuli continues to dominate. But what about that slide at second?!?! Maybe the rest of the team (cough*straw*) should take notes and quit sliding feet first, with their eyes closed, right into the tag, and their foot in the air/above the base.

Through Tuesday, Alvarez was hitting .346 overall, .346 at home, .345 on the road, .364 against righties, .329 against lefties and .348 in high-leverage situations.

And I spoke too soon on my Yuli projections last night. Now he's on pace for 136 RBI and 56 doubles.
The club record for double is 56 by Biggio in 1999. Only three Astros - Biggio, Berkman, Bregman - have ever topped 50 in a year. The club record for RBI in a season is 136 by Lance Berkman in 2006. Only two Astros - Berkman and Bagwell - have ever topped 130 RBI in a year.

Even crazier, Ted's on pace for 105 RBI, 38 HR, and 105 runs scored.

Looking ahead a future pitching matchups and the 1st game vs the Dodgers looks to be a fantastic one with Greinke vs Kershaw. Also LMJ vs Darvish is a really nice matchup as well.

I believe he's also second in Ks behind Maldonado. To be fair, his OPS is through the roof and at least 10 of those Ks have been on trash Cala by the ump

I wonder if teams really understand how good/dangerous Yordan is. Like, they think it's just a hot streak

I think he'll pick up more walks as he learns to lay off that low outside pitch. That's kind of his weakness right now. If he learns to lay off that, not only will his walks pick up, I think his HRs will pick up too.

He also just has amazing bat to ball skills and can hit rockets to anywhere in the field. Sure, he could learn to take more walks, but honestly, if there are guys on base, I want him hitting rockets regardless of it they are outs or not.

I believe they mentioned that probability during the broadcast last night and made jokes about that it being a lefty nearly made it an inevitability that he plays....and then they laughed
