Ive followed baseball a long time and haven't seen too many guys compare favorably to literally the greatest players of all time through 115 games. I think he's a transcendent talent and we hit the absolute jackpot.

You laid out the downside case that the knees don't hold up. Allow me to lay out the upside case: he's not done getting better.

If he's open to an extension, lock him up.

Even the greatest have been defeated by injuries. While he looks foolproof, I prefer to see it a little longer. With 4 years to go, we can afford to wait it out a little. If he's still killing it in 2022 & 2023 with no sign of knees going then give him all the money.

That's a reasonable take. I might just be further along on the Yordan belief curve than most people.

Willing to take on re-injury risk in exchange for the opportunity to lock him in as an Astro for a very long time. That's how good I think is/going to be.
