Is this just a .500 team again this year? The funks they go into are deep.

I think they are better than that. Just hope the bullpen can get much better. It's been a major weakness.

Kent Emanuel threw 8 innings of shutout baseball and hasn't been heard from again. Dusty instead picks two guys with a combined ERA of +16.00. Unbelievable.

What's the point of going home? He has no chance to throw him out. If he goes home, they have another man on third, and a sac fly plates another run.

Brantley throws home on the previous play and DJ played another run with that ground ball.

There are lots of things to complain about, but this one is a bad one to gripe about.

I know...I really know...that this series isn't as big to win as we want it to be, relative to the season long big picture...

but dammit if I don't want to beat these ass clowns badly, and that makes losing to them suck even more.

I have a feeling this team will do this all year. As soon as you start getting encouraged about the improvement... they will go on a cold streak. We've seen it twice now this season. Our bullpen is just too inconsistent right now. We need guys to get healthy, or we need to make a trade at some point

Their offense has actually been awful still this series if you remove Stanton.

They have only barreled maybe 3 balls in 2 games outside of him - just finding extreme luck, getting favorable calls, Astros errors, bullpen guys walking bad hitters, etc.

Although it seems bad it's really not that bad.

We've won the last 3 series. It's a bad 3 game stretch in which most of this crap is self inflicted.

I don't feel like we're getting shelled and boat raced.

In my opinion, our cold streaks are a lot more due to offense. The BP has blown some games but the offense has gone so ice cold at times that it's not covering any flaws.

Feels like forever since we've had more than a solo HR and multiple HRs in a game.
