I'm a little late to this party thanks to tball practice and putting kids in bed, but can anyone explain putting Tucker in the cleanup spot, tonight?

I get that he's hitting the ball hard, and we apparently want the lefty-righty mix...but Yuli or Carlos are surely a better choice while things aren't going Tucker's way. That just adds a layer of pressure that he probably doesn't need to have, right now.

Ms got a break. None of the last 5 pitches were where the catcher was sitting up. That guy was missing his spot by a foot or more.

In regards to the perception of some hitters setting up far away from the plate...I think there is a chance that many of us "grew up" in the Maddox era of the horizontal strike zone. Umps routinely gave pitchers 6 inches off the outside edge, and batters stood on top of the plate to deal with it. So, now when we see guys moved off the plate, it looks "unnatural" to us.

That's my hypothesis, anyway.
