Emanuel pitched a hell of a game and I hate to be the party pooper, but he's a 29 year-old rookie who has had an unspectacular minor league career and I don't think he's ever been ranked in our organizational top 30 prospects.

I hope he's a late bloomer and exceeds all expectations, but I think there's probably a far better chance that he never goes 8 2/3 again than that he does.

If this is contract tracing then this is partly on Alvarez and partly on the team. He has to be a pro and not get himself in this spot and the team has to provide him with tools to stay out of these spots.

The fact he's on the 10 day IL might mean it's not covid related. COVID IL doesn't have a specific number of days associated with it
