Isn't this the 3rd time he has been out for Covid crap? The dude can mash a 500' bomb but has to go 3 rounds with Covid? GTFOH
Yes, Alvarez had COVID last spring. But the Astros aren't sure yet if that's what they're dealing with here. Baker said they're waiting on some confirmation to see how long Alvarez will be out. He's still on the roster as of now.

Alvarez is the only player affected. https://t.co/FY1mxdSIJ9
That's the rumor...TarponChaser said:ttha_aggie_09 said:

I'm going again tomorrow night, so inevitably one of our stars will get the night off after tonight's game

"Dad, why didn't Yordan ever make the Hall of Fame?"

"Well son, he got COVID 12 times."
Yordan Alvarez is out due to health & safety protocols. McCormick in LF, Brantley DH, Tucker batting cleanup. #Astros pic.twitter.com/ZHsKXNEDth

Forward/Reverse buttons... joystick with a deadman switch on top.
Sounds coming off an iPad. https://t.co/9D8e01e1af pic.twitter.com/VuZgePW8z5
The Astros’ logic makes sense. Having Kent Emanuel available all three nights against the lefty-heavy Rays is an obvious plus. And this next turn in the rotation comes in the Bronx against a righthanded-heavy Yankees team. https://t.co/S8LSubx4BK

All I do is drive the train. From 2000-2001 I was practically a full time intern.

Funny story: I don't know my official title, and I probably don't have one. I asked one year and was told to look in the media guide.
Turns out I'm not in the media guide, or ever have been. https://t.co/zl4TjpJZTk

You definitely don't listen to them for their baseball takes... gambling, poker, UFC, hockey, football is about where they peak in that orderFarmer1906 said:

Astros have placed DH Yordan Alvarez on the IL and recalled IF Taylor Jones.
