It was. He needs to lose that pitch altogether until he knows where it is going.


It's the one that he had great control in ST and his first start.

still need a good fastball to get ahead in the count...and then finish the hitter with the offspeed.

So what's the story with these sliders that LMJ and Grienke developed but can't throw?

ZG said after his start he won't be throwing it again and now Lance can't throw it within the opposite batters box.

Is this something they were asked to do or what? I'm curious how that has evolved.

So Smith dominates righties. Elite. Yet Dusty brings him in to face the lefty even though Lance had struck this guy out twice. I guess he's worried about Lances control, but Smith seems like an off choice.

It's a relative term. When he needed to throw a pitch in the zone he was replying on his new slider.
