Would Fiers be one of the A's starters in a 3 game series? Clinching against the A's with Fiers on the mound would make a lot of this feel better.

I wonder if Click is having any say in these decisions or if it's all Dusty. I can't imagine a modern analytic driven GM (which I thought Click was) would be happy with a old school monolith like Dusty.

I would hope so. Dusty seems to be trying to use more advanced information. That George Springer note about sitting was somehow based on statcast, apparently.

It's possible Click's hands are tied wrt Dusty. He had no say in that hire, and possibly none in the extention, either.

Speaking of the extention I'm hopeful it was just a gesture to prevent Dusty being "lame duck" all year. I really, really hope.

Dodgers are good hitting team on road and away per that...so doesnt really show anything
But if its not adjusted for ballpark, pretty impressive to do that in a pitchers park like Dodgers stadium

All we need are two more wins and we clinch. Both the mariners and Angels have 31 losses. Best they can do is 29-31. We are sitting at 28-27

With 5 games left, 2 wins should be the minimum we get.

So many bad AB's for the Astros with runners at 2nd and 0 out. In a 1-0 game, you have to leave the AB with the runner at 3rd. This often is a glaring problem in extras too.
