Looks like Lynn has a sub 2 ERA when you remove his two beatings from the Astros. With our two games factored in, it's up to 3.32. We likely single handedly removed him from the Cy young conversation.

So I looked. Only twice in MLB history have there been two cycles on the same day and never twice in the same game. Its happened twice in the minors, and weirdly both times were in 2018. 5 players have done it 3 times in their career and 5 have done it twice in a season. One guy in 1933 did it twice and did it in 1933 to make both rare lists.

Luke Scott hit the unnatural cycle (HR, 3B, 2B, Single in that order) back in 2006. There have only been 10 of those in history and only 14 natural ones (in order 1, 2, 3, HR).

Big question will be if Bielak pushes for a starter spot as well as Whitley if he ever makes a push
