Hard to believe the Angels with their 3 guys hitting over .200 put up 17 runs in 14 innings and they sat one of them in each game: Rendon in game 1 and Simmons in game 2.

I understand some of the criticism of Dusty, but this has been a squad with no Cole, no Verlander, no closer, no Peacock and an array of minor league pitchers. Springer and Altuve hitting significantly below career numbers. I'm not sure what to do with that.
The only thing that matters is whether JV can come back and start. Anyone can win a 3-game series, but we don't have enough pitching to make it to or win a WS without JV. I think he's done for the year. Maybe he tries to come back and close, but that won't be enough.Farmer1906 said:
Do not see how people are getting injured across the league and on our team? Do you think it really matters if we win the division this year? It's a 3 game playoff in round one and I don't think there is all that much difference between the 1 and 8 seeds. Get as healthy as you can for the playoffs >>> going 37-23 instead of 33-27.
