No one said Lane was HOFer, but you tried to put him in the "biggest dropoff from AAA to majors category". He hit 26 HR and was the starting RF for a WS team. Then he made it back to the show a decade later as a relief pitcher. He's not getting his number retired, but he did just fine.

Also he was never the top prospect in the organization, and was never even a top-50 MiLB prospect. So it seems like his limitations were pretty known despite his monster numbers in the minors.

Seattle has major talent problems and LAAA has major pitching & payroll problems.
