Agree. Not trying to justify steroid use but it was so widespread back then that it's hard to believe it wasn't a majority of them. I think a lot of these guys had to make a choice to either use or be out of the game. Good for guys like Wally Joyner that decided not to, he might have been a Hall of Famer if he could've played until age 40 hitting 40 HR per year like Finley and Gonzalez...but I also understand why the guys that used to chose to.

What about a guy like Will Clark? Career .303 hitter with over 1200 RBIs and a premier defensive player who was never in the steroid scandals. I think he's penalized because he didn't get to 300 HR (284). Similarly is Keith Hernandez who hit .296 for his career and won 11 Gold Gloves as the best defensive 1B in the NL in the 80's. And in the AL, Don Mattingly falls into that category. Career .307 hitter and 9 Gold Gloves as the best defensive 1B of the 80's in the AL. But Mattingly only hit 222 HRs. Personally, I think all 3 should be in the HOF but are penalized for their lack of HR production when the big power hitting 1B of the era were all doing steroids.

Reddick absolutely deserves to be in the line up. No matter how good he's been at the 2 hole, he should t be near the bottom.

Correa has to be brought up. This is getting ridiculous.
