Believe it or not, he's better than the other half of the platoon, who himself has three catchers interferences this year and doesn't know how to frame pitches. And is a worse hitter.

Posey definitely left us with the bottom of the barrel to work with...

FIFY. I'm not sold just yet.

George will be 31 next month; that's getting danger-zone close to when you can stop being a great CF and when you start needing to move to a corner OF spot. He was incredible last year despite missing 40 games. That's 80 games missed in the last 3 seasons. He's also made the All-Star team the last 3 years, won two Silver Sluggers, has finished 7th and 13th in the MVP race, and of course- was MVP of the World Series. And he's dinged up this year. When I think of the Astros of the last 5 years, I think of Altuve first, JV second, George third. He's electrifying when he's hot, and he busts ass every single day, every single play.

Correa will turn 26 a week after Spring turns 31. He's a physical monster, built in the mold of A-Rod size wise. An A+ defender at the most important position on the diamond. But he keeps getting hurt at the age where most guys feel/seem indestructible. 53 games missed at age 22, 52 games missed at age 23, 87 games missed at age 24. Despite that, he's hit 24, 15, and 21 home runs in those 3 years, and he was really good in the 2017 ALCS and WS, as well as the 2018 ALCS. He's off to the best start of his career albeit through 15 games, which unfortunately is 1/4th of the season this year. is this was a normal season he'd be on pace for 200+ hits.
But he can't stay healthy. And I don't have any confidence he won't get hurt this year as well.

SO i'm not sure I offer either of them a long-term deal. Maybe dangle 3-4 years in front of both and see which one bites. If not, I don't know if you don't go after a big free agent pitcher instead, and continue to go to war with Bregs and Tuve and Brantley, and hope Kyle Tucker proves us wrong.
