Baker is known for riding guys too long, so he is actually doing the opposite of what he'd normally do. Also, it's kind of like JV I would think. ZG is probably going to tell you when he can and can't go. Maybe it was ZG's decision. Plus, I'd rather not over work ZG when we've already lost JV for an extended amount of time, maybe the entire season.

Yeah that's a fair argument but at 84 Greinke wasn't throw a CG and he was gonna have to call on the pen at some point in this game.

The point is there isn't one arm he can depend on in the pen.

I don't care if you take Greinke out, just don't put James in a 1-run game. if the Astros lose tonight, they are 4 wins behind Oakland with 35+ games to go. I know 50 teams are in the playoffs this year, but you still want to get the best seed possible.
