I think the Astros have score in 2 opening frames. They warm up but do not start quickly so far. Of course, that had a lot to do with early struggles by the top of the lineup. They'll get there.

I've never understood why a catcher can interfere with a hitter with penalty but a hitter can freely whack a catcher on a follow through with no penalty.

If it was a swing and a miss and a runner on, particularly stealing, then it would be. Cather's interference rule is to prevent straight up tampering with swings.
