He did. But IMO that's not when he's at his best. He's at his best when he's hitting .330 with 20-25 homeruns


2016 he hit .338 with 24 homeruns .... .928 OPS
2017: .346 24 HR, .957 Ops

2019: .298 31 HR .903 OPS


Even with his homerun numbers up, his OPS was lower.

I agree. That's vintage Altuve to me. Keeping it low, hitting where it's pitched and crushing mistake pitches over the middle.

It seems like he's trying to pull everything this season and swing at everything low and outside
