This is clearly all Jeff Luhnow's fault
Playing out as expected. Both sides were negotiating in bad faith. Manfred feeding info to the press to try and make the players look bad and like the only ones to blame is going to backfire big time. Nobody cares who's fault it is, they just want baseball. Really sucks this is happening in the middle of the Astros window.
I'm fine with no baseball. It's almost midseason and I've been able to rid myself of my obsession of needing to watch overpaid drama queens.

But at the same time I'd at least like another shot a ring with Springer, Brantley, and La Pina.
I doubt we see either of them play another game in an Astro uni.

Well it clearly helps the Yankees to have a very short season with all their injuries.

Brantley's situation is interesting. He will be 34 years old in 2021. I would just offer a 1-year deal. If he wants 2 years then adios. Need to have him off the books after 2021, so more money is available for JV or Correa

both Chirinos and Castro signed 1-year contracts. So they are FA's again after the 2020 season. The 'stros could make a run at one of them in the offseason (with a little more money to spend this time)

I guess the Astros don't have enough left in the farm system to trade for Jose Abreu,..but the possible cancellation of the 2020 season makes his contract look more friendly.
