Ty....now to decide white or orange

Agree they get dirty but the orange is just way too much to wear anywhere outside of the juicebox

For now, it covers testing, travel, in-stadium adjustments, on-field changes and a wide array of other issues. Teams will be allowed to have 50 players each under the plan, with the number active for each game still being negotiated. Players and other team personnel not participating in the game would sit in the stands, separated by at least 6 feet. They would apply the same distancing standards to the national anthem.
High-fives, fist bumps and hugs would be prohibited under the plan, as would spitting, tobacco use and chewing sunflower seeds. Fielders would be "encouraged to retreat several steps away from the baserunner'' between pitches. First- and third-base coaches are not to approach baserunners or umpires, and players should not socialize with opponents.
A ball will be thrown away after it is touched by multiple players, and throwing the ball around the infield will be discouraged. Pitchers would have their own set of balls to throw during bullpen sessions, and personnel who rub baseballs with mud for the umpires must use gloves.
Players would be discouraged from showering at stadiums after games and would not be allowed to take taxis or use ride-sharing apps on the road.

No spitting and no sunflower seeds? Yeah. I'm going to go out in a limb and say that's not happening.
How do they expect to socially distance themselves in a dugout? It's not that big, especially of rosters add another 2-4 players as expected.
And can you imagine not celebrating Altuve's ALCS walkoff?
And not showering after a game? You are at a road game in July in St Louis. It's 110 on the field. And you can't clean up after?
That's what they did yesterday in the Bundesliga. In fact, they removed 2 of every 3 seats from the dugout and spread the coaches/training staff out and then put the reserves in the stands. Every 4 seats and every other row.n_touch said:
If there are no fans they can use the stands. It can like the price is right at each at bat

Except you can't account for them for the rest of the time they're not at the stadium, so no, it's not just virtue signaling.astros4545 said:
Do they realize that if there are 25 players that don't have the Chinese Flu on the same team
They cannot spontaneously get it from each other, so all these 'rules' is just stupid virtue signaling
Right - 25 guys who don't have it now means they will NEVER get it! Sound logic!astros4545 said:

that's why the players that will want to play (with those restrictions) are just the old guys in the final year of their contract.Ag_07 said:

Just shut it the f down and see you in 2021. That's not baseball and sounds awful.
It depends on how often they are testing, but if the team shows up to the ballpark and gets tested and it comes back negative then he is right. The rules are stupid if you are assuming that guys will be tested before every game. Now, if they are only testing guys showing symptoms then some of the rules make sense.FredMc92 said:Right - 25 guys who don't have it now means they will NEVER get it! Sound logic!astros4545 said:

and of course...the test results have to be available and made public before the stadium gates open
