I should be watching baseball right now
I don't know about that. The majority of the guys I follow on social media look bored out of their minds. Plus I am sure they would much rather get the full amount of $$$$.cpsencik04 said:
Any one else get a little feeling that the baseball players see a possibility to get paid and not have to stress their bodies for a year and are putting a little extra in that agreement? Seems like maybe they're seeing other sports get cancelled and don't want to be the only ones playing when everyone else is getting paid for not playing... #socialistmindset

I question your understanding of socialism (and capitalism and honestly all economics and all 'isms') if you think a bunch of rednecks from florida/texas/cali (aka all the American players) and a bunch of guys from central/south America all of whom have 8 figure bank accounts want to just take the season off. Go back to your flat earth and qanon conspiracies.

4. 2017 Astros
Leitch: Well, you definitely didn't need to pick the Cubs that early, because this Cardinals fan knows, unlike most others, that the 2016 World Series never happened and didn't count and was a collective illusion and therefore DOES NOT COUNT for this list. Thus: Forgive them or not, this Astros team was incredible, and if you're looking for an argument as to why maybe its success was not entirely because of sign-stealing, how about the fact that Houston was probably even better in 2018 and '19. Nevermind how good they were everywhere else: How about the fact that they even had peak Carlos Correa, the one we haven't really seen since? It's OK to admit the Astros were sort of likable back then, yes? OK, maybe we can't admit that. But it was true. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Back in 2017, this team was actually full of heroes. I'm going to pretend that's the team we're talking about.
Great performance that you tip your hat to. Best game ever pitched.Jackal99 said:
For those in a masochistic mood, the Kerry Wood game is on ESPN.

Plus, it's popular to hate on the Astros right now, so popular game to put on.
I was disappointed that we didn't get one of our great WS games during opening day at home (like every other recent WS winner got). We got the Verlander no-no which was fun, but not compared to any of the WS games.

Deleted the idiotic and racist comment
I'm with you in your disagreement to the post above, but your condescending "look how well I understand macro economic systems and generalized MLB player demographics" flex isn't a good look either.
