People are contagious before they present symptoms.

At some point, you reach a level where there is too much precaution. I think with the awareness of the virus you could put out memos (if you have a fever or dry cough - do not come to the game) and get 99.5% of people following the rule and there will be little issue. We're not talking about some great killer like the black plague where millions of people die.htxag09 said:Farmer1906 said:

How do you regulate that? That's the "rule" all the time, yet sick people go to work, school, events, etc daily. Also, you may have it and can spread it but not be showing signs you're sick.
Then how do you prevent it from spreading short of everyone else quarantining?AustinAg2K said:Farmer1906 said:

I understand removing large events will likely help, but at what cost. I have a hard time finding what the line should.

I'd be fine if we just didn't have to play there.W said:would also mean that the Astros would not play the Rays in 2020. (because all 7 games are scheduled for April)Teddy Perkins said:Should be enough time for JV to recover.TREX01 said:

I guess it will be up to the owners to delay the start of the season.
the first month could be played without fans, but the owners would still incur significant fixed costs for each game.
Specifically utilities and payroll for all the support personnel (broadcast crew, radio crew, stadium security, medical trainers, etc..,)
