Josh Hamilton arrested for felony charge for causing injury to a child. Apparently he has been extremely abusive towards his daughter the past few months, both physically and emotionally/mentally.

It's time for this guy to rot in prison, he's had too many people making excuses for him for too many years because he was a good/great baseball player.

I know he has/had his faith. But I personally hated how he blamed the devil for his poor choices in life. It always seemed like a way to avoid responsibility.

These family/domestic things can be ugly. I'm not going to defend him at all because I don't know the facts. But what I do know is that his ex-wife is nuts too, and these family/domestic situations are oftentimes a case of the truth being somewhere in the middle with one parent playing the kids against the other. So we'll see how this progresses.

or maybe we are just fans of personal responsibility

there are lots of people in this world with mental illness that don't (allegedly) beat up kids.

I'm not defending him as much as potentially explaining one contributor to his actions. Anyone that hits a child has something wrong in the head. If we want it to stop, root causes need addressed.

He has gone and messed up an entire family. Excuses have been made for him every step of the way. He was always an irresponsible child that skirted responsibility and blamed his problems on others. Hope he gets whats coming to him because the # of chances he's had in his life pale in comparison to the # of chances that people who can't hit 40 homers get.

I'm bashing him, just like I've bashed Johnny for being basically the same guy. No place in the public eye for either of those losers.

It's not provable.

But it's hard to argue that many people who constantly use their faith as currency end up being charlatans.
