Wow....
I have been a Cardinal fan since I could pick up KMOX on my Panasonic ball AM radio in the late 60's. Went to my first game at the old Busch in the early 80's and it was great. Lived in STL for a few years and had the joy of watching a bunch of games at the new Busch, including the All Star game. Cardinal fans are awesome, they know the game, support the team, but even when an opposing player makes a great play, they will give plaudits.
Pujols is one of the most beloved Card players ever. He left to go to the Angels for the huge bucks, but it seems that the Cardinal fans have forgiven him. He played what is likely to be his last games there over the weekend and it was really cool. I have never seen a stadium give an opposing player a standing ovation and a curtain call for a home run.
