I know it's their home but I'm always slightly surprised when players out of latin America go home. Just seems like being a high profile, multi-million dollar athlete makes you a big target there for a lot of bad things to happen.

Tough to say. These guys are also huge heroes in their home countries too. Like the shooter got beaten within an inch of his life based on what I've read. At some level there is probably a feeling of invincibility because just about everyone on the island loves you.

Why? Not really doubting you but the gallbladder recovery is nothing. 1 or 2 stitches.
