Guess that answers my earlier question on if he can hit 100mph+ up in the zone. Couldn't touch 95-96

He's in his 3rd game and likely seeing pitchers who have more pitch types and speed variations. He'll come along. Was likely looking for something low and outside. I don't think he misses two fastball middle up at 95 if he's looking for them.

If he ever catches up with one, someone may die. A full swing from that man connecting with 100 mph ball could be deadly.

JV still has a long way to go to be in the conversation with Randy Johnson (entire career). Johnson might be a top 10 all-time MLB pitcher. The dude won FOUR Cy Young's in a row in his late 30s!

He may catch him if he keeps this up til age 45 like Johnson did, but it's no contest right now.

That is probably true. If anything Johnson might have something to say about Ryan at 2.

JV is probably 4th then. He's got a Cy, MVP, runner up in the Cy 3x, and he's the #1 active pitcher for WAR.
