No worries here news. I'm a trans and I find this a most welcoming and warm forum. Especially when that hottie Jake makes an outstanding play deep in the corner out there.
We lived in Fort Stockton but my dad and I spent a week each summer in Houston watching games from 1964-75 when I graduated from HS. We went to the 1968 All Star game when Willie Mays scored the only run.
Art looks just like he did when he played.
I'll quit derailing the thread with this. One year he and I flew to Philadelphia and went to a DH between the Mets and Phillies at Connie Mack Stadium. My dad was the center on Baylor's basketball team as a youngster and a Bronze Star winner as a Marine at Iwo Jima. Connie Mack looked like a warehouse outside and they handed us folding chairs when we went in and we set them down on the spot corresponding to our tickets. It was also bat day and they were handing out 34 inch 34 ounce Richie Allen Louisville Sluggers to every kid when you went in. The taxi driver who dropped us off from the airport said no way would he go to that neighborhood after dark. My dad was still in the Marine Corps Reserves so he had a crew cut and we walked out of there with him holding a Louisville Slugger and no one in the neighborhood bothered us.
If you're going to pound down and away, you better not hang it. Only way you get away with that is if you find some way to raise his eye-level up in the zone once or twice with a fastball. But he didn't. And he just doesn't have the command to do that.
