Wow, that's quite a resume. I didn't realize he had already achieved greatness with the Reds before coming to Baltimore. I was a little kid when the Orioles were at their best in the late 60s/early 70s. I never understood the thing about the Robinson brothers - didn't realize it was a joke.

Frank Robinson was truly an elite player.

some of my favorite stats of his:

2-time MVP. Finished in the top 5...four other times.

there are players nowadays considered locks for the Hall that barely have one top 5 MVP finish in 15 or 20 years.

and then his raw production numbers: 1,829 career runs scored and 1,812 career RBI.

Frank posted a .career 939 OPS with RISP. That's how you get it done
