Question about the 10 game plans. Do opening and closing day get included in the 10 games or are they added making it effectively a 12 game plan?

You get it for free. So it's 10 games plus two additional games for free. Feel free to give me a call or email to get one if you're interested

Eh, the lower infield price increase should be fairly nominal, meaning no more than a 30% increase

The areas that saw the largest increase were VIP Infield and Premium Infield

Holy *****.. 30% is considered Nominal, in term of price increases?

Yowzers. Good thing the Owners are pumping a ton of money for player salaries.

I can promise you, every opportunity to ring the cash register will happen.

Changing jerseys... colors... all ways to get fans to spend additional money.

That change would be too bad. I think they've got some of the best unis in the league.

The NHL did it with their 3rd Sweaters, back in the '90s. It was a way to retain the traditional sweaters, while introducing adjacent income. So, they launched the Green ones. Then, guess what... the next year they took the same 3rd sweater and made it available in white.

And then they'll get some sweet girls parading around in them, and the drunks follow them to the merch counter and spend their money.

Marketing used to be about selling the fans on the team. Clearly marketing today is about selling the fans more merch.

You want to know another way of selling merch? Turnover your roster. LOL.

AccidentProne is going to get me suckered into a 10game package... I just know it...

30% is considered nominal? That would take a $4150 season ticket to $5400.

Texas better win in a hurry if they think people will pay those prices after the inaugural season. I'd assume they are pushing more towards the corporate client like many teams are doing, but I think that works with a downtown stadium -- not sure it will for Arlington, TX... But we shall see.

Agree on the general style, font, etc. That said, given the frustration many have about the new stadium though, I donthink it would be a good move to reimbrace the red more like the early days of TBIA.

$1300 is especially not nominal when you multiply it by 4. Also agree that leaning more heavily on corporate is a dicey game with the location.

Yes, relative to the 400% increase some areas had

I've had zero issues renewing my season ticket holders for GLF so far, and I have a pretty even mix of business and personal use clients

Yeah, but most them are/were in Lower Infield sections so they weren't exactly hurting for money anyway.

And you have to think that a good percentage of the people that kept their season tickets for this almost guaranteed dud of a year did so simply to keep their priority for next year.

2020 will be fine, I just wonder how things will go when the new-ness wears off. No doubt the front office has the #'s to justify the strategy, it will just be interesting to see if it works out.

No lower infield sections have come out for an appointment yet, but yeah I get what you're saying.

One of my clients actually had a good point. He said "people will come out for the first couple years because of the allure of the new stadium, but after that it's all about wanting to see a winning team." Which is basically what you just said. Was it you???

I see so much of what Tom Hicks did, in recent actions by the Rangers.

You know what is going to happen... once the stadium is complete, MLB will award them with the AllStar Game. So, STH are on the hook now, for the new stadium, then have to stay, so they have their AS tickets. They'll get pissed when they get bumped back, for the game to make way for all the League.

So the Rangers have about 4 years of being crappy before fans abandon them.

In the case of the Stars, Hicks benefited from the ASG to keep his STHs, all while orchestrating a shutdown resulting in a hard cap on salaries. The Stars sucked after that, until he had to sell the team because the passionate fans got out priced for the product and Corporations couldn't give away enough seats to justify the expense.

4 years. 2019- broken season, 2020 new stadium, 2021 announcement of ASG, 2022 ASG... 2023?

I had Dallas Stars season tickets for 10 years, dropped them in 2009 and have been to 3 free games since and haven't watched a game in TV.

I'm pretty critical of the front office at times, but dangling future marquee events in order to retain customers is pretty standard in any industry.

Would you like us to be bad AND not have the ASG?

This rebuild does seem to be moving a lot slower than most would have hoped, but I don't think it's quite time to be accusing the front office of not caring and owners just cashing checks.

As much as I love the Ballpark, I'm definitely looking forward to no avoiding insane summer heat. That's for early 20s me who would pregame before going. That guy didn't care about the heat.

I just hope the new stadium looks better in person than it does in the renderings. Not a lot of character there.

I was watching some MLB Network earlier and they had a top 100 players for 2019 show on, not one Ranger on the list. Also read an article of top 10 players at each position, and again not a single Ranger.

I'm trying to get pumped for the season but man seeing stuff like that is depressing

There are always multiple lists out there, but most I've seen has 1 or 2, possibly 3 Rangers in the top 100 listing (always in the latter portion). With a couple exceptions, most Ranger prospects are 2 to 3 away, so not as likely to end up in a top 100 just yet.

Here is one, has three Rangers, spots 85, 88, and 89: http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2019?list=prospects

The problem is that he is not talking prospects. The show is highlighting the Top 100 Major Leaguers for 2019. Not a single Ranger on the list and there probably won't be for a year. If Gallo could hit consistently in the .260 to .275 range he might make it some day. Odor has a shot but it is a long one. Guzman is a great defensive 1B but doesn't generate the offense to make a list like this.

MLB network has been rating the Top 10 at each position the past few weeks and again, no Rangers on the list. This is going to be a tough year to watch.

That's not how the current stadium is set up. Home plate NW, center field SE.
