This has really been amazing. I didn't even know Tommy Lasorda was still alive! As a Ranger fan from day one in 1972 this is a special moment for me!

I have a friend whose son, Ian, has been battling cancer for a few years. Ian sent Beltre a rubber cancer bracelet and asked Beltre to wear it. Sure enough, Beltre wore it the whole game that night.

A year later Ian ran into Beltre at a rangers function and Beltre remembered the whole thing and spent time with Ian.

Adrian Beltre is a really good person.
