While i have some sympathy for umps from having done it and knowing how hard it is, you should never be recognizable like this. Pretty funny.wildcat08 said:He ate dinner Monday night at a downtown Minneapolis steakhouse. They gave him a menu in Braille.LSCSN said:

Zobrist got called out on strikes (against the Rangers) a few years ago on a pitch that probably would've gotten the entire team ejected for arguing, if it hadn't been the last pitch of the game.
I love the Rangers homer announcer trying to call that one "a close one on the corner"... morons hahwildcat08 said:
That was crazy; even Nathan with the "Wow!!"

The pitch actually wasn't bad when it crossed the front edge of the plate. If you pause it just right between 4-5 seconds you can see it. That's where the problem would be with robot umpires. Pitches that sink like that and barely clip the bottom of the zone and the catcher catches it an inch off the ground. You're gonna have guys wanting to take bats to the robots a la David Ortiz and the Baltimore bullpen phone.
I hope they never have to learn that.WoMD said:CampingAg said:

Right now those calls all go against the pitchers. All of them. And they don't throw tantrums. Hitters will have to learn that that's always been a strike and a few will need to learn self control for once instead of acting like entitled brats not getting their way. I'd imagine that this would lead to a zero tolerance of tantrums with automatic ejections policy, and they'd learn real quick.
