At least Jakes defense is superb. Honestly rather have Jake than Fisher. Both suck batting but Jake plays one hell of an OF.

He did that same crap in spring training! Fisher is a scrub.
His speed doesn't matter if he can't attack the ball. Runner read Fisher's body language and immediately knew he was going to take 3rd. Difference in the them winning or being tied.

First one possibly could have been, would have been a tough ball for jose to get to if he was in traditional position. Second was a liner over the infield if i remember correctly.

Agreed no reason not to at least let Devo start the 9th and wait until he gets into trouble. That is what Devo does is pitch multiple innings and was awesome in the 8th.

I'm guessing 99% of fans would have stuck with Devo. Only a baseball manager would make a robotic idiotic move like that. They have this idea programmed in their head that they can't let a guy go more than 1 inning.

Sometimes you need to win today's game to get a team back on track. Rest can come later.

That's fair. My biggest issue there is just not rolling with devo. Hinch has this stupid perfect little blueprint in his head and it screws us over
