I tend to agree, but generally speaking before the late 1980's (and Tony LaRussa, Dave Duncan, and Rick Honeycutt)...most relief pitchers faced more than one hitter and did okay

I've been to several minor league games that have a pitch clock and it's not an issue at all to me...don't really notice it after a while. After some initial adjusting, the big leaguers would get used to it.
