Seems like there is a disproportionate amount of Domincans who get popped for PEDs...

PED suspensions are suspensions without pay.
I have never understood why the MLBPA stands up for cheaters, they should be for the harshest penalties...
First positive test 80 games (+postseason)
Second positive test 162 games (+postseason).
Third positive test banned from the league.
That's pretty damn harsh... Penalty-wise, harsher than the NFL.
Saying they should make league minimum for the rest of their careers is just stupid... If you get caught stealing at work you'll prolly get fired... and you'll prolly have a hard time finding a new job... but you think you should be forced to make minimum wage for the rest of your working career?
The penalty is a deterrent -- these guys are doing it because (they believe) the risk of getting caught doesn't outweigh the payoff. So if you want to make things tougher, increase the risk of getting caught -- more testing, more often, more "random".

In case yall haven't heard about the Tuesday night Nats/Braves game.....in addition to an awful strikezone, CB Bucknor ruled the last pitch of the game a foul tip (the bat was at least a foot away from the ball), but only AFTER he declared the game was over and the grounds crew had run onto the field. It was so bad that even the usually respectful-to-umpires broadcast crews were ripping Bucknor a new one.
