Leave him in. Line up will roll over. You dont have anyone really solid bats on the bench that is worth taking him out.

I would not .... Our bullpen is shaky, and we don't have anybody on the bench that is a consistent enough hitter to have faith in that they will drive in the run with 2 outs. If verlander gets out, then the next inning brings up the 1-2-3 hitters in the 9th and it is (hopefully) a still tied game.

Also I'm just terrified of our bullpen

No, because even if he gets out you start the ninth inning with the top of the order against either a tiring starter or whatever jabroni they want to bring out of the pen.

But it also sort of depends on when and how he give up the runs. Were they spread out over the first seven innings and he's clearly back in a groove or did he just barely escape the bottom of the seventh.

For some reason, I think Springer's first at bat will determine some things for this offense.

I think if he has a patient at bat, whether he strikes out or gets a hit, I think the rest of the offense will be patient. If he does not, I think we will press.

Yes, I do. Gotta try and get that run home in a game like that where runs are at such a premium. As well as Justin is doing, he's through the line up a couple times and you have to imagine they're more likely to get him the later it goes. With 6 outs to go you break them off with a bunch of McCullers curves.

Not necessarily.

LMJ, Morton, and Keuchel have all been starters in this series, and Hinch usually lists his starters separately. It doesn't mean he is unwilling to use them if a particular situation should arise.

At least that's how I read it.

I don't get Liariano's situation. If you're that unconfident with the guy to not even get him an appearance when your BP is gassed why is he even worth a roster spot?
